     Scan Pro Studios believes that photos and videos are too important to lose in a disaster. Homes can be rebuilt, furniture and be replaced, but priceless photographs of parent, grandparents, siblings, friends, and any other loved one can’t be replaced. Videos of your kid (s) play and having fun, gone and never to be seen again, get them protected for the future with backup copies or a Picture DVD.

What do we have to do to prepare for our order submission?

     Provide the photos, videos, slides, negatives, and documents in order that they will be view in the Picture DVD (if applicable) and provide the music (if applicable). Also include any special instruction and some insight on the story behind the order. Please view the Photo Preparations page.

How do our photos or documents make it onto CD or DVD (video)?

     To scan you photographs and documents we use a scanner that gives us the ability to scan images up to 1200+ dpi.

How do our home videos make it onto DVD?

     To capture your video, we use a fire wire connections to upload the video.

What formats of home videos can you transfer?

     DV, Digital8, MicroMV, 8mm, VHS, SVHS, VHS-C, SVHS-C. Some formats may require additional equipment.

Can our personal items be mixed up with someone else’s personal items?

     There is always a possibility, but with the system we use there is little risk. We separate all personal items and only work on one project at a time. We store current projects in a separate location from projects being stored as master copies.

Why do I need a Master copy storage?

     We all have important priceless photos, slides, negatives, videos, and documents. If you are taking the time to have Scan Pro Studios create backup copies or a Picture DVD, then master copy storage is a feature that will allow you to make additional copies at a later date, if you so choose. If you loose everything in a fire, tornado, flood, or whatever the case; or if you just want a loved one to have a copy, then master copy storage allows you to purchase additional copies at a later date.

How do you secure our personal items?

     We store all personal items in a fire resistant / waterproof safe.

What are "Pan and Zoom" Effects?

     They are video effects that set still photographs in motion. The professional software we us allows us to pan horizontally or vertically as well as zoom in or out.

What if I don’t have the music that I want in my Picture DVD?

     We can supply the music; just merely inform us of the song and artist. If we have the song there we be no additional charge. If we don’t have the song there will be a $ 1.00 miscellaneous charge.
